What Chronic Disease Means for Your Care

A chronic disease is a condition that lasts three months or longer and needs ongoing care. Standard management tracks the numbers and adjusts prescriptions.

Dr. Yosef, an integrative physician, asks why the illness persists. We look for the underlying imbalances, toxic overload, nutrient deficiencies or missed infections behind it, and treat those directly.

  • High blood pressure
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Arthritis
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Digestive disorders

Signs to Look Into and When to Seek Care

Chronic illness often shows up as several small problems at once. Book a visit when any of these last more than a few weeks.

  • Fatigue that sleep does not fix
  • Brain fog or trouble concentrating
  • Pain or stiffness that moves between joints
  • Bloating, reflux or irregular digestion
  • Infections that keep coming back
  • Normal labs while you still feel unwell

Get emergency care first for chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness, confusion or a high fever that will not come down. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Testing That Looks Deeper

Before we recommend a therapy, we test for what is driving your symptoms.

  • EAV Testing

Electrodermal Acupuncture According to Voll, a non-invasive screening we use alongside labs.

  • Thermography

Heat imaging of the body that can point to areas of inflammation.

  • Heart Rate Variability

HRV testing gives a view of stress load and nervous system balance.

  • Blood and Urine Tests

Customized panels chosen for your history, beyond a routine checkup.

Therapies Built Around Your Results

Chronic Disease Questions, Answered

What should I do if I have a chronic illness?

Keep a simple record of your symptoms, what makes them better or worse, and every medication and supplement you take. Then find a team that looks for why the illness persists. Our first visit starts with your full history and the testing it points to.

Can you help if my labs keep coming back normal?

Yes. Many of our patients arrive after standard panels showed nothing, even though they still feel unwell. We add specialized testing such as EAV, thermography, heart rate variability and customized blood and urine tests to look for imbalances, nutrient gaps and toxic overload.

Do I need to stop my current medications?

Never stop a prescribed medication on your own. We review everything you take at your first visit and build the plan around it, so natural and IV therapies support your health safely.

Do you treat chronic fatigue syndrome and mold illness?

Yes. Dr. Yosef works with chronically ill patients with elusive illnesses such as chronic fatigue syndrome and Lyme disease. Lina Kay, PA-C, MS, has extensive experience with chronic fatigue syndrome, mold illness, SIBO and SIFO, IBS and histamine intolerance.

Does insurance cover chronic disease care in Scottsdale, AZ?

Coverage depends on your plan and on the testing and therapies in your care plan. Reach out to our office and our team will go over costs and your options before you begin.
